[Solution] Counter Strike 1.6 Cannot Find Lan Server Offline Multiplayer

Are you trying to play Counter Strike 1.6 with your friends or/and family but unable to connect with each other in the game? Here's a quick fix.

Problem Description:

You start a game in host computer and ask your friends to join this server. Your friends try finding your server in their "Lan" tab inside "Find Server" menu as shown below. The server doesn't appear and it says, "There are no servers running on your local network."

Counter Strike 1.6 Cannot Find LAN Server Solution

Prerequisite: Make sure all your friends' computers (Not all, only those who want to play with you :-) ) are connect to same network. (It doesn't matter whether you're connected using LAN cable or through WiFi)

Step 1: Launch CS 1.6 on a computer that shall host the game. We call this computer, "Host Computer."

Step 2: On the Host Computer, open CMD and enter command "ipconfig". (You can perform this step before step 1). In the CMD window, find the line that says "IPv4 Address". Copy the address that it shows on a paper. (Example: 192.168.XXX.XXX)

Step 3: Go back to the game and click on "New Game." Make any changes in "Create Server" window and when it's done, click on "Start"

Let the game start successfully on Host Computer.

Step 4: Launch the game on your friends' computers and on each computer press '~' button that appears at top left side on your keyboard, below "ESC" key. A new window shall popup, enter following command in the box (without quotes) "connect <IPv4_ADDRESS_OF_HOST>". Replace <IPv4_ADDRESS_OF_HOST> with the actual IP address that you copied on the paper in Step 2.

Now, all your friends' computers will be connected to the host computer!
